Bunny is a retired social worker who has a love of music and helping people. ‘The Joke’ by Brandi Carlile makes him cry but he doesn’t know why!
After four years of retirement Bunny missed mixing with people and being “involved”. He started with us after he saw an advert on social media asking for someone to fetch food from Aldi and then also saw the advert about the music group and he thought “hey lets combine music with helping”.
His first volunteering job was with the Cyrenians so he feels he’s been full circle!
Being a Tottenham supporter Bunny jokes about being quite resilient and that he also swims to stay beautiful. He is a family man who adores his wife and daughter but we do need to keep that to ourselves!
Bunny enjoys the joy of conversation with nice people and enthusing about things! He loves that Pathways is a wrap around service that works and is so happy to be part of it using his skills to help others and make a difference.
Here is what our Volunteer & Activity Coordinator Claire Douglass has to say about Bunny:
Bunny is always keen to give his time to Pathways and has such a generous nature, so generous in fact that he always wants to give his time even when he’s ran out of it! He is a kind and empathetic volunteer who likes to help others and bring fun into what can sometimes be a stressed environment. Bunny is leading our new music group. It is developing nicely and it gives joy to everyone involved. Bunny has recently encouraged one member of the group to sing a solo and he has encouraged another to borrow a guitar from Pathways to practise at home ready to showcase their progress. Bunny’s experience and passion for music and people will continue to make this group successful. I look forward to keeping everyone up to date with its progress over the months to come. A huge thank you to Bunny who is such a valued and experienced member of our team. We love having you as part of our team.
