Beth joined Pathways in February and quickly became part of the furniture!
Β
🌿 When she’s not supporting people at Pathways, Beth can usually be found tending to her garden, exploring the outdoors with her partner, daughter and dog, or enjoying some much-needed family time.
Β
πŸ’œ Beth joined Pathways because she’s passionate about people. With a background in suicide prevention, mental health support and student midwifery, she’s spent years helping people through some of life’s most challenging moments. Those experiences taught her something important: you never know what someone may be carrying, and sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is listen without judgement.
Β
🏠 Beth helps people experiencing homelessness or facing the threat of it. No two situations are the same. One day it might be helping someone access mental health support, the next it could be finding safety from violence, supporting rehabilitation, or even helping someone choose curtains for their first home in years. It’s all part of helping people rebuild their lives.
Β
β˜• Beth’s favourite part of the role? The little things. Seeing someone leave with a smile after a chat and a cuppa. Knowing that a small act of kindness can make a huge difference. Being part of a team that helps people move forward when life has knocked them down.
Β
⭐ One story that has stayed with Beth is supporting a woman who had escaped horrific violence and exploitation. While securing safe accommodation was a crucial first step, it was only the beginning. Through working with partner agencies and providing ongoing support, Beth has helped her rebuild confidence, regain control and move towards independence.
Β
Because homelessness isn’t just about housing. It’s about helping people feel safe, valued and hopeful again.
Thank you, Beth, for the compassion, dedication and kindness you bring to Pathways every day. πŸ’œ

This is what Beth’s Manager Melissa said about her:
β€œHer kind and caring manner is one of things I value most about Beth. She has a natural way of making those around her feel comfortable and supported, and her positive presence really adds something special to the team. I also have to mention her lovely habit of humming away throughout the day – it has become part of the atmosphere and is just one of the little things that makes her, her.
She is a wonderful member of our team, and I feel very lucky to have her. Thank you for everything you bring us each day! β€œπŸ˜Š
