Meet the Team

Sarah

CEO

I have over 30 years experience in the housing, homeless, community and mental health sector.

I love creating a positive culture where people can thrive and be themselves whether it’s staff or clients.

When I’m not working at Pathways I run frontline reflective practice sessions.

I enjoy music, dancing, reading and writing, being in nature and hanging out with my friends and family.

Laura

Finance & Operations Manager

I started at Pathways in 2019, coming from 10 years as an Office Manager at another charity.

I have a wide range of responsibilities including Finance, HR, Office Management and Communications.

In my spare time I am a Scout and Otter Leader and love spending time with my family.

Melissa

Housing Manager

I started my career in the homelessness sector as a volunteer, before progressing into a housing worker role and now I manage the housing team.

I am passionate about supporting vulnerable people and creating positive outcomes for both clients and staff.

My biggest strength is listening and helping people feel heard and seen.

Mel

Housing and Homelessness Worker

I joined Pathways in 2021 as a Housing Worker and have been working in frontline support roles since 2006.

I am passionate about equality and diversity and empowering people rebuilding their lives, with a particular focus on supporting service users that have experienced domestic abuse.

Outside of work, I enjoys reading and unwinding with a bit of trash TV.

Wojciech

Housing and Homelessness Worker

I have 7 years of experience working in homelessness services across supported accommodation and emergency housing. Before this, I worked in catering and kitchen management, developing strong leadership and organisational skills.

My main focus is providing one-to-one support, especially for offenders and people facing complex challenges. I am experienced in crisis management and passionate about recovery, rehabilitation, and helping individuals build stable, positive futures.

Fun Fact: I am originally from Gdańsk, Poland, a historic city known as the Amber Capital of the World and for its important role in World War II history.

Thabani

Housing and Homelessness Worker

Nathan

Housing and Homelessness Worker

Beth

Housing and Homelessness Worker

I am a dedicated Housing worker with a background in mental health support through my experience with Samaritans and working for an Employee Assistance Programme.

I also have previous experience working as a midwife which strengthened my passion for supporting and caring for others.

I am passionate about helping people and making a positive difference in people’s lives.

In my spare time I enjoy gardening!

Steve

Volunteer and Activity Coordinator

I prepare and facilitate recovery and support groups throughout the week including a range of activities for the people we support to enjoy and get involved in.

As someone in recovery myself, I’m passionate about supporting others on their journey, helping them build confidence, realise their potential, and make positive changes in their lives.

I’m a long suffering Everton fan, but still live in hope that we lift another trophy in my lifetime….

Alex

Recovery Hub Lead

I am responsible for organising the groups and planning art sessions and supervising and training of volunteers.

I worked in social care for the last 20 years, in secure units and residential settings with children and adults with autism, mental health and challenging behaviour.

I am a graffiti artist and am keen to progress this side of my life, I am in the process of launching my own website!

Paul

Recovery Worker

I have a lot of lived experience which helps me work closely with clients, to support them with their recovery needs. No one plan suits all, it’s my job to encourage, support and find the right plan for that individual.

I am full of energy and need every bit I have!

Outside of work I am a fan of the mighty OWLS and I go to as many music concerts as I can.

Tom

Specialist Nurse

Prior to working for Pathways, I worked mostly in community mental health teams.  I was particularly interested in helping people who were suffering with complex trauma to access information and support.

Homelessness often comes with significant mental health challenges, which makes my role here vital in ensuring people can access the support they need.

In my spare time I like gardening and cycling.

Claire

Communications and Fundraising Officer

After working in the insurance industry for over 25 years, I began volunteering one day a week at Pathways and quickly fell in love with the place. In January 2021, I made the decision to join the team full-time.

A year ago, I moved into my current role, I’m passionate about people, my faith, family and my vocation. I enjoy building strong connections within the community and bringing warmth, positivity, and the occasional bit of silliness to the workplace.

My chocolate Labrador, Monty, is often by my side at work and has become a much-loved member of the Pathways family.
