🌟 Volunteer Opportunities at Pathways of Chesterfield 🌟

We’re looking for two wonderful people to join our friendly team of volunteers and help make a real difference to people’s lives.

💛 Wellbeing Group Volunteer – Fridays

We’re looking for someone who can volunteer every Friday from 10:30am to 1:30pm to help run our Wellbeing Group.

Our group is for people who are currently experiencing, or have experienced, homelessness. We aim to create a welcoming space where people can build self-esteem, make connections, have fun and enjoy plenty of laughter.

Your role could include:
• Setting up and preparing the group
• Washing up and helping with general tidying
• Spending time chatting and connecting with group members
• Offering empathy, encouragement and a friendly listening ear
• Helping to serve lunch
• Getting involved in planning and suggesting activities
• Helping create a warm, inclusive and enjoyable atmosphere

Experience of working with vulnerable people is preferred but not essential. What matters most is that you’re friendly, approachable, reliable and able to treat everyone with dignity and respect.

This role involves a moderate level of physical activity, including setting up and clearing away.

🍳 General Groups Volunteer and Cook

We’re also looking for a flexible volunteer who can help cover our groups when other volunteers are on holiday or off sick.
For this role, you’ll need to be confident with cooking and happy to get involved in supporting our groups.

Don’t have a Food Hygiene qualification? No problem! We’ll provide you with a Level 2 Food Hygiene course, which can be completed from home on a laptop or at Pathways if you need support.
