This year Pathways of Chesterfield is launching a Christmas Rucksack Appeal.
Like a shoebox appeal, that we all know and love, we’d like for people to fill a rucksack with some useful goodies and treats so we can give them out as Christmas presents to the people we work with, who are homeless.
Rucksacks are a hot commodity at Pathways and are always in demand. People who are rough sleeping have to carry their whole world around with them. A new rucksack for Christmas, along with the goodies inside, will be the perfect gift this Christmas.
Suggested items you may wish to put in your rucksack:
- Socks
- Hat
- Gloves
- Scarf
- Torch (and batteries)
- Flask/Thermal mug
- Toiletries
- Hand warmers
- Gift card for Greggs/Costa/Tesco
- Lunchbox style snacks- must be none perishable and alcohol free.
- Sleeping bag
Please label the bag as being for a Man, Woman or Unisex.
Rucksacks can then be dropped off at 106 Saltergate any weekday between 9.30am and 4pm.
