Ainsley, a man in his 50s had been living with his partner but when the relationship broke down, the tenancy was in her name he had nowhere to go so found himself sleeping rough.
Ainsley’s Pathways Housing worker supported him to get on the council housing register and also to look for private rent options but as both of these routes can take a while he also agreed to look at supported accommodation. Although he had never suffered from mental health problems in the past he was finding his situation overwhelming so one of our mental health nurses supported him to deal with his low mood and anxiety.
Following a successful assessment with Lighthouse Homes, Ainsley was given a new home in supported accommodation and has settled in well.
Ainsley has started to attend our activity groups and is rebuilding his confidence and feeling much more positive about his future.
Good luck Ainsley!
