If you happen to walk past Pathways on the last Friday of the month you may be able to hear music and laughter from our building! It’s Music group and it enables the attendees be free to express themselves through the art of music. Meg sings, Paul plays classical music on his guitar and Tracey can do the best Kate Bush we have ever heard!
Whether we are making up our own raps or simply trying to synchronise a beat, it lifts and shapes moods and mental health for the weekend to come.
Music has proven to reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and enhance cognitive functions like memory and focus. It can aid in physical recovery by lowering blood pressure and pain and promote social connection through shared experiences.
We see first-hand how music can transform people at Pathways.
